أبعد من الزلزال ...

زلزال بـ 8 درجات على مقياس ريختر ضرب بيروت اليوم بعد استقالة الرئيس سعد الحريري من الحكومة بعد أقل من 8 أشهر على تأليفها وبعد اكمال العهد الجديد عامه الأول بالتمام والكمال .... 

غداً صباحاً سوف نصحو على بلدٍ بلا حكومة تقوم بالجانب الإجرائي لتنفيذ ومتابعة قوانين عديدة وعد بها الشعب اللبناني : بدءاً بسلسلة الرتب والرواتب مروراً بالموازنة وصولاً الى الانتخابات النيابية..

وغداً صباحاً سندخل في أزمة سياسية تتمثّل في تحديد مسار الآتي من الأيام على وقع طبول المعركة التي تقرع خلف الحدود الاقليمية. 

غداً صباحاً سيبدأ البحث عن حلّ، وربما عن اسم رئيس مكلّف جديد (ومن سيكون السنّي القادر على المواجهة في ظل عاصفة الرياض)... وسنتحدث مطوّلاً عن وضع سياسي هشّ قد يدوم إلى أفق غير منظور....

لكن قبل كل ذلك ... الآن ... ماذا عن الآن  ؟ 

الناس خائفة: وتسأل : هل تقع الحرب ؟ هل ينهار الاقتصاد وماذا عن الليرة اللبنانية؟ هناك من يسأل عن مصيره في بلدٍ ظنوّا فيه للحظة أنه بامكانهم العيش بأمان وسط تسوية سياسية قيل وقتها بأنها لبنانية لم تعد "زواجاً مارونياً" ولا عقد متعة أو مسيار... سرعان ما انتهت مفاعيل الاتفاق مع التطورات الاقليمية والمواقف الدولية التي فرضت نفسها على الواقع اللبناني.  

عناوين الازمة في الظاهر واضحة ولعبة المحاور انسحبت الى المشهد اللبناني الداخلي ووحدها العناية الآلهية قد تلعب دوراً هاماً في نقلنا من البحر الهائج الى شاطىء تسوية سياسية جديدة.

مفتاح الحلّ السياسي قد سحب من أيدي اللبنانيين ولكن المطلوب هو الحد الأدنى من ضبط النفس وعدم وصول الازمة السياسية الى الشارع.

المطلوب طمأنة الناس أن لا عودة الى زمن الاغتيالات السياسية وأن الاختلاف السياسي لن ينتج المزيد من السواد في المشهد اللبناني فالناس تعبت واعصابها تلفت وجيبها فرّغت وفرغت من كل شيء ثمين ... ما عاد لدينا سوى أرزة على علم ... نتمنى الحفاظ عليها وحمايتها من الاحتراق والاشتعال وسط النيران المستعرة أينما كان.

في الختام سؤال عن مصير النظام اللبناني ومصير الطائف... هل انتهى قبل أن يطبّق ؟

What happened in Vegas could not “stay in Vegas" !

SHOCK! is literally the term that can best describe what happened in Vegas on the night of Oct. 2nd, 2017. That peaceful city, full of lights, love & fun ... is now the victim of “Terrorism”. 

Yes Terrorism! Although there has been no confirmation yet whether ISIS was behind it or not, those actions prove today that terrorism has no color, no race and certainly no religion. 

This Is an ACT of Barbarism against Humanity !

One week ago, I was on duty in a Work Trip in Las Vegas. Our team stayed at the Excalibur Hotel, right next to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, where the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history happened taking the lives of nearly 60 innocent people and injuring hundreds !

While I was there, I felt that VEGAS is a global city. I saw people from every corner of the globe. Asians, Europeans, Americans and even Arabs… And for that particular reason, I consider the attacks to be not only against the USA or US citizens… but also an attack against the entire world, and NO what happened in Vegas could not “stay in Vegas” anymore.

Those attacks affected every global citizen dreaming of peace and serenity in this world. Didn’t we get enough of violence already? When is this going to stop?

Let us reflect quickly on what could be one of the reasons behind what happened.

As some of you may know, The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution reads:

   “ A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed”.

James Madison originally proposed the Second Amendment shortly after the Constitution was officially ratified as a way to provide more power to state militias, which today are considered the National Guard. It was deemed a compromise between Federalists — those who supported the Constitution as it was ratified — and the anti-Federalists — those who supported states having more power. Having just used guns and other arms to ward off the English, the amendment was originally created to give citizens the opportunity to fight back against a tyrannical federal government.

Now it’s useless to say that in 2017 many things has changed. In the modern role of the government, it is necessary to keep the “monopoly” of power in the hands of the STATE (Max Weber - Le Savant ET le politique). 

After all, those are the basics and foundations of any “society” as stated by J.J. Rousseau when he identifies the “Social Contract” between people as a vow by individuals to create a well-organized society where they deliberately delegate powers to the STATE or the Sovereign in order to be protected and safe. 

There might be those who say: it’s a human right to possess arms… yes but there is a greater human right which is the right of LIFE! 

Something must be done at least to limit crimes such as these and to preserve the security and safety of all mankind. Maybe banning the possession of Arms is the beginning of the end of Violence. Why do we have policemen to protect us if everyone needs to protect him/her self in society?

Finally, it came to my attention how the Las Vegas Strip, full of lights, was dwelling in darkness on that tragic night with one shiny billboard saying:

 LOVE …

Love is the only weapon that needs to be possessed and it will be victorious.

لماذا حجمّنا لبنان ؟

انتشرت هذه الصورة كالنار في الهشيم ... وكل الاصدقاء يعلّقون باشمئزاز عليها وهذا أمر بديهي... لكن السؤال الأهم هو : لماذا ومن سمح أن نصل الى هذا الدرك والمستوى من الانحطاط الاخلاقي ؟

ليست المسألة مسألة أرغيلة ... ولا مسألة عبودية أو عنصرية ... المسألة أخطر بكثير أيها القوم : إنها مسألة منظومة القيم التي باتت في خطر شديد. 

أكتب وأنا في أكثر العواصم تقدمّاً في العالم ، أكتب وفي قلبي حسرة وغصّة على بلدِ صدّر الحرف والأدمغة والتجارة الى العالم ... واليوم أراه متفرجاً ... مؤرغلاً ( من أرغيلة ) ... مهترئاً يأكله الصدأ والعفن والعتّ.

حسرتي على شباب وشابات يضيعون آمال الأهل وأحلام الوطن.

حسرتي على جيل جديد بات يتسكّع في البارات حتى ساعات الفجر الأولى ليصل الليل بالنهار دون إنتاجية ولا ابتكار ولا تجديد ولا تجددّ.

حسرتي على القيم اللبنانية - النخوة - الشهامة - الكرم - العلم - الثقافة والأخلاق ... أينها ضاعت ؟

لم أعد أرَ سوى الكثير من اللهو وطق الحنك على مواقع الهبل الاجتماعي وأخبار جنسية وأخبار تافهة وسذاجة تقارب حدّ القرف من كل شيء 

 ...

فلتكن صحوة ! فلتكن رسالة تهزّ ضمائركم ! كفانا استهتاراً ... هيّا الى العمل... هيّا الى احداث ثورة تكنولوجية حديثة في لبنان! هيّا الى الاختبارات العلمية الى الخلق والابداع ... هيّا نصنع تاريخاً جديداً وكفانا بكاء على الاطلال... لن يبقى من لبنان سوى قلعة بعلبك وجبيل وصور وبعض الآثار في بيروت وعنجر .... ان لم نتحرّك سيلعننا التاريخ وستنقم علينا روح الكبار الذين صنعوا لنا وطناً حجمّناه الى مستوى فحمة أرغيلة.
